Whenever you see Death as an outcome, this indicates something will come to an end. This could be a job, a relationship, a friendship. Whatever the subject is, Death is a sign that you will lose something or someone (metaphorically).
There might even be tears when you lose something that you have put a lot of energy into but in time, you will move on toward a new lover, new job, new friendship etc. The transition will be tough at first but Death is a sign you are onto something bigger and better.
The response to Death is very subjective. Some people handle change very well and even thrive on it and some people may struggle to let go of the old and get used to new things. I have mostly Sagittarius in my birth chart so I can adapt to change rather well. I seem to get over things as quickly as I fall in love with them and am very excited by change. Perhaps if you are a ‘fixed’ sign you might find it harder to adapt?
The point I am making is that Death might have positive and negative connotations for you depending on how you view change and how well you adapt to it. It also depends on how attached you are to them. Is Death good or bad? I feel this can depend on your perception of change.
I see Death crop up when someone is aware something is coming to an end. They have come to an understanding that they are onto new and better things and are welcoming this change. Death does not always indicate the loss will be painful.
However, there is no escaping the fact that Death can indicate that for a period, we will suffer as we lose something that is dear to us but inevitably, this will make room for the new. Even though the transition will be difficult, keep in mind that there will be something better than you can imagine just around the corner.

Death indicates that your relationship or love affair will come to an end. With Death, it is a sign that you and your current partner or love interest will move on from each other and go toward someone new.
You may be well aware that you have outgrown each other and are excited to meet someone new. However, if you feel attached, this loss will be painful. Although you will eventually adjust to these changes and find happiness with a new lover.
Feelings
Death means that they feel they have outgrown this connection and feel that it is best that you part ways. They don’t see a future with you.
Career
Death is a sign that you will undergo a career change. Death indicates that you will go into a new line of work completely. You will lose your current role but you will eventually find a brand new position.

Death means that you will lose your business. You will lose customers and your finances will take a hit. Because of these circumstances, you will be forced to go onto a new business venture or look for alternative work.
Financial
An income stream will be cut off. Death can mean you will lose your job or business so you will need to think of a new way to make money. I.e start up a new business, get a new job. Keep working hard and looking for alternative options and you will eventually come across a new and better way to make money.
As a blessing
Out with the old and in with the new is a key phrase for Death. You will experience change for the better. Although you may lose a job role or there will be an end to a love affair, someone or something better will take its place.
As a challenge
You will be so attached to someone or something that you may be fearful that you will never find anyone (or anything) that measures up. It will be a struggle to let go of them. You will find it a challenge to move on and adapt to new circumstances.
As Advice
Death advises you to put something to an end. Are you in a dead end job or relationship? The advice from the Death card is to take the initiative and start a new career path, love affair etc. Your current circumstances aren’t benefiting you.
